A Harare based FMCG is looking for vibrant Sales Executives/Representative with proven and solid experience in the FMCG sector.
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
To achieve the agreed sales target by maximising productivity in the area of selling for each trade channel in line with the trade marketing and distribution implementation plan and to the required customer service level.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Achieve the trade coverage, call frequency and outlet call plan in order to meet distribution objectives within the agreed levels of customer service.
Achieve distribution objectives of product availability, visibility, customer service levels, fair trading, stock holding and stock rotation to ensure the company achieves the highest levels of trade and customer satisfaction.
Ensure that the territory distribution objectives of company brands are achieved by trade channel and outlet type in order that availability is maximised in line with brand strategies and the needs of the market.
Implement national presence marketing and promotion programmes with optimum use of resources and materials in order to achieve the highest in-store visibility and sales performance for the key strategic brands throughout the territory by gaining the active support of the trade.
Achieve a mutually supportive and beneficial working relationship with the trade by giving assistance and support through regular communication and the prompt handling of problems and requests.
Maintaining market insights regarding competitor pricing, trading terms, market share per category and growth opportunities.
Manage all assigned funds, materials and equipment in a secure and efficient manner in order to maximise the use of organisation assets.
Ensure perfect order to cash management through recording of all transactions accurately, completely and promptly, ensuring all cash transactions and collections from customers are conducted securely and in compliance with company policies.
Maintain accurate records and to submit reports as requested in order to ensure effective communication is maintained with management.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of proven success in professional sales roles preferably in an FMCG context.
Commercial and Business acumen.
Professional demeanour and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Intrinsic motivation, growth mindset and a quick learning ability to stay updated with industry trends.
Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing market conditions.
A clean & valid class 4 Driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
