SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY ASSURANCE ASSISTANT
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety, Health, Environment and Quality
Assurance Assistant to join our organisation. Reporting to the Human Resources and Talent
Development Officer, the successful applicant will, among other key duties, be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
• Assisting in the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and initiatives to create a safe working environment.
• Conducting regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and suggesting corrective actions.
• Supporting the creation of safety training programs and delivering training sessions to
employees, promoting awareness and best practices.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to investigate and analyze accidents, incidents, or near misses, and developing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
• Maintaining accurate safety records, including incident reports, safety data sheets, and safety training documentation.
• Coordinating safety committee meetings, providing administrative support, recording
minutes, and following up on action items.
• Assisting in conducting emergency response drills and providing guidance during critical
incidents to ensure the safety and well-being of employees.
• Collaborating with the Human Resources department to promote employee wellness
programs, such as wellness challenges, workshops, and healthcare initiatives.
• Staying informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes
related to safety, health, and wellness.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Health and Environment Management; Environmental
Science or equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience in a similar role.
• 5 Ordinary Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.
