An exciting opportunity has arisen for suitably qualified and self-driven individuals to fill in the position of Risk Officer. The incumbent is responsible for providing guidance in identifying, assessing, reviewing, controlling, mitigating, and monitoring risks for the allocated group of stores. Furthermore, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring allocated stores adhere to the approved standard operating procedures.
Key Result Areas:
• Constantly liaises with allocated stores and ensures that losses through expiries, shoplifting, and theft by staff, breakages, and production shrinkage are maintained within the targeted levels.
• Monitor the utilization and safeguarding of company assets for the allocated group of stores and ensure that SOPs relating to maintenance, disposal, and movement of assets are adhered to at all times.
• Ensures all controls are adhered to during the movement of stock, from receiving, warehousing, merchandising, and transfers to other departments and other stores.
• Monitor, recommend and ensure the effective implementation of various techniques to reduce the possibilities of losses and the severity of losses through identifying, assessing, and controlling threats to the store’s earnings and assets.
• Recommends appropriate interventions to ensure that security-related incidents are managed in such a manner that property damage or injury to persons is presented or at least mitigated through competent and timeous action.
• Review the industry’s regulatory requirements, and guide Store Managers and Loss Control Officers on the implementation of such.
• Mentor & coach Loss Control Officers on various technical matters.
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate must have:
• HND in Risk Management, Degree in Risk Management, or any related business qualification.
• Attained the rank of inspector in the Zimbabwe Republic Police.
• Experience in working with executives and senior managers providing professional, accurate, and strategic advice.
• An understanding of Human resource management concepts.
• An understanding of various statutes governing the operations of a retail supermarket
