A Risk and Loss Control Officer position to manage the organization's security of assets and facilities, risk, loss control and fleet management, has arisen.
RISK AND LOSS CONTROL OFFICER
• Document, update and consolidate departmental risk registers with the help of risk champions.
• Identifying, assessing and mitigating risks that could negatively impact MIL's operations, reputation and financial stability
• Reports on the top five risks in the quarterly board reports.
• Creates and implements risk and loss control standards, policies, and procedures.
• Investigates and reports security and loss control breaches and suggest plan of action to manage attendant risks
• Represents the organization in court proceedings on Risk and Loss control related issues.
• Conducts periodic site security surveys i.e. physical examinations of property to ensure compliance with loss control policies and systems.
• Manage the company's physical assets and maintain them in a good state of repair.
• Devise and implement a robust compliance program and register across all departments.
• Manage the company's insurable assets and devise sufficient and appropriate mitigation measures, not limited to insurance.
• General administration including superintending over transport, parking, security and logistics
The Person
The ideal candidate should be a person of integrity who possesses the following minimum qualifications and attributes:
• Bachelor's degree in insurance, risk management, accounting (CIMA, ACCA etc) or Finance;
Knowledge of the business operating environment;
Analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge and technical proficiency in electronic security and risk management systems.
