Job Description
RISK ANALYST
Hwange Colliery Company Limited Holdings (HCCL Holdings), a diversified local company with strategic business interests in Mining, Real Estate, Health Care, Agriculture, Energy, and Financial Services, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Risk Analyst under its Mining and Processing Division.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Result Areas
Conduct risk assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management processes.
• Plan and execute risk-based audits to identify potential risks.
• Identify and document emerging risks, control weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
Provide clear reports and actionable recommendations to strengthen risk management processes.
• Detect and prevent fraud by identifying potential fraud risks, investigating irregularities, and recommending robust anti-fraud controls.
Qualifications and Experience
Person Specification
Mature professional aged 30 years or above with at least 5 years' experience in auditing and risk management.
• Strong knowledge of risk frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000).
Solid understanding of auditing standards (IIA), laws, and regulations.
• Familiarity with Integrated Business Management Systems (IBMS).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail.
• Must have a clean criminal record.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CIA, CRMA, or FRM will be a distinct advantage.
