RISK & ACTUARIAL SERVICES MANAGER (GRADE 5)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, and interested candidates for the position of Risk & Actuarial Services Manager.

Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), the main purpose of the job is to lead the Group’s risk and actuarial services by providing strategic and technical oversight in enterprise risk management, actuarial modeling, pricing, product development, business analysis, and investment analytics. The incumbent will ensure integration of data-driven insights across the Group’s insurance, health funding, investment, and medical services portfolios to enhance resilience, compliance, and profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework, including risk appetite, registers, and governance structures.
• Conduct risk identification, quantification, and treatment across all strategic areas of the Group.
• Lead actuarial analysis, including reserving, solvency assessments, profit testing, and pricing recommendations.
• Provide technical input for product development, premium adjustments, and reinsurance programs.
• Perform financial forecasts, stress testing, scenario modeling, and investment performance analysis.
• Support regulatory compliance, board risk reporting, and internal/external audits with actuarial reports.
• Consolidate and analyze business intelligence to support strategic decision-making and sustainability.
• Drive innovation in actuarial and risk-based solutions that optimize group profitability and resilience.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or a related quantitative field.
• Professional actuarial certification (e.g., IFoA, ASSA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years’ actuarial experience within insurance, health funding, or financial services.
• Strong background in risk modeling, financial forecasting, capital adequacy, and investment analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of actuarial software, modeling techniques, and data analytics tools.
• Proven ability to engage at executive and board level, with strong communication and leadership skills.
