Job Description

The RFL Data Administrator supports the coordination, development, implementation and monitoring of Restoring Family Links (RFL) activities as well as FLA (NS RFL database) in Zimbabwe. Under the guidance of the RFL National Officer, he/she also serves as a link between ZRCS branches in the provinces and the Headquarters as well as with overseas NS data manager and ICRC on data management file; and complements the provision of technical and data-management support in the treatment of RFL cases and offer of services. The RFL Data Administrator also supports the integration of RFL in other ZRCS departments/activities at provincial and National Office levels.

Duties and Responsibilities

The role of the RFL Data Administrator is to support the implementation of RFL services and promote the coordination of the development, implementation and monitoring of RFL activities and strategy. He/she ensures that the necessary support and resources are available for the branches/offices to efficiently offer RFL services. The RFL Data Administrator also engages the various ZRCS branches/offices regarding RFL cases.

Ensures that the case management of the ZRCS is kept up to date and in line with prescribed guidelines for RFL operations. The FLA answers being the primary tool for case management, must be kept up to date, of good quality and truly reflective of the activities implemented by ZRCS RFL Unit. He/she shall ensure that cases are followed-up as accurately and as timely as possible. He/she shall be in charge of the case updating in FLA answers, training the staff who would be using the database as a reference and making sure that database information accurately reflects the RFL caseload for the ZRCS

Qualifications and Experience

• IT qualification in database management
• University degree in Social Sciences or relevant professional qualification
• Good knowledge and skills on computer packages especially relating to database
management e.g. MS Access.
• Knowledge on design and implementation of social and human development
projects.
• A minimum of 2 years’ working experience in the NGO or social services sector
