Reporting to the District Finance Officer, the Relief Driver will support the programs team in carrying out project activities by transporting staff, authorized passengers, goods, and commodities to and from assigned destinations safely and on time
• Operate the Bantwana vehicle as assigned by the supervisor.
• Complete the service register collection wrap-up.
• Assist program staff in reaching out to 13 health facilities in Lupane.
• Distribute refreshments for Sinovuyo and support groups for CLHIV.
• Support DSD and MOHCC in attending to urgent cases.
• Facilitate community activities in all wards in Lupane, following defined clusters.
• Assist Admin and Procurement staff.
• Maintain vehicle log sheets in accordance with Bantwana policies and regulations.
• Routinely check the vehicle's condition after each trip.
• Report any needs and problems to transport management.
• Adhere to all safety and compliance protocols as advised by Bantwana and the supervisor.
• Ensure the safekeeping of all vehicle equipment, tools, first aid kits, spares, etc.
• Assist with logistics in the office's daily workloads as required.
• Cooperate and assist staff and visitors, troubleshooting potential problems during daily operations.
• Conduct oneself professionally and personally in a manner that brings credit to Bantwana and the project.
• At least 5 ‘O’ Levels plus a valid and clean Class 4 Driver’s License and valid Defensive Driving Certificate.
• Five years of professional work experience in an NGO environment
• Strong planning and administrative skills.
• Computer literacy
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Honesty and confidentiality
• Ability to work with tight deadlines
• Ability to communicate fluently in English and Shona or Ndebele.
