INSURANCE BROKERS
we are looking to recruit suitable candidates for the following positions which have arisen in the Reinsurance Broking Division to be based at our Head Office in Harare.
Duties and Responsibilities
REINSURANCE BROKING DIVISIONAL MANAGER (Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer)
The Key Performance Areas of this position Include:
Key Performance Areas
• Demonstration of technical competence in Treaty and Facultative broking vis-a-vis Treaty Program designing,
Retrocession program design and placement, Risk Strategy Advisory and Reinsurance Technical Accounting.
• Developing and implementing a clear Reinsurance Broking Business PLAN in line with the overall company strategy.
• Developing and maintaining a strong client base and achieve growth in market share.
• Driving and coordinating the various Reinsurance Broking business Initiatives.
• Developing and managing realistic revenue and expense budget
Qualifications and Experience
• A relevant Insurance and Risk Management degree or any other internationally recognised insurance qualification.
• Strong marketing and business development skills.
• At least 5 years experience in reinsurance underwriting/broking business with a reputable organisation.
• Strong technical understanding of treaty and facultative reinsurance.
• Ability to communicate effectively at senior and executive levels.
• Full appreciation of local, regional and International reinsurance practices.
• Possession of MBA/MBL or similar qualification would be an added advantage.
Remuneration is a Total Cost to Company basis and will be disclosed to the successful candidates.
