The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) is a statutory body and is mandated o regulate the Zimbabwean energy market cost effectively, through incentive regulation and in a fair and transparent manner to achieve sustainable energy. ZERA seeks the services of a highly competent and results oriented individual to actively contribute in he execution of its mandate in the following role;

REGISTRY CLERK.

Reporting directly to the Registry Officer, the Key Job Functions of this position will be;

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assisting with the maintenance of a records management system to ensure effective record keeping practices at ZERA.
2. Registration/accessioning of records and documents according to the Records Management Procedure.
3. Maintaining an up to date register of the ZERA records.
4. Identifying and retrieving records and documents for users and record file movements within ZERA.
5. Assisting the Registry Officer in assigning records to their proper, physical and intellectual place within the records management system.
6. Identifying and listing records for archiving in accordance with the established retention schedule and policy.
7. Ensuring secure custody and monitoring of movement of archived permanent and non-permanent records.
8. Assisting the Registry Officer in maintaining an up to date record of incoming and outgoing mail in order to facilitate efficient mail management by ZERA.
9. Tracking and monitoring movement of mail in the SAP Records Management System to ensure smooth movement of mail.
10. Updating and maintaining a database of knowledge resources in the Knowledge Management Centre.
11. Assisting the Registry Officer in addressing Records and Knowledge Management risks and opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate for this position should meet the following criteria:
• Higher National Diploma in Records & Information Science/Records & Archives Management or Library & Information Science/Management.
• A relevant degree will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of SAP Records Management is essential.
• At least 2 Years relevant work experience in a public service records and information management environment.
