REGISTERED NURSE

Job Description

The incumbent shall be overall in charge of the designated floors and responsible for supervising and evaluating the provision of patient or client care.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Providing total individualised and comprehensive nursing care to patients according to nursing and Doctors plans.
 Performing nursing procedures and treatment of patients placed under your care in a competent and professional manner.
 Plans and implements the nursing care for the patients applying the holistic approach and the nursing process.
 Collaborates harmoniously and cooperates with other members of the health fraternity.
 Monitors patients’ vital signs and records accurately the same on 24hour charts e.g., compiling intake and output and fluid balance charts.
 Performs any other duties as allocated by any appropriate authority Hospital Supervisors which are within the scope of nursing practice and according to the laid down rules, policies and regulations of the organisation.
 Provides health education to patients on discharge

Qualifications and Experience

 Diploma in General Nursing
 Registered with the Zimbabwe Council of Nurses (with current practicing certificate).
 Experience working with paediatric patients.
 Post Basic Qualification an added advantage
