Job Description

Registered General Nurse / Psychiatric Nurse (1 Post)
Department . Health Services
Salary Grade: 12
Reports To: Sister in Charge
Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing clinical health services in the Health facilities and Community.
Conducting psychometric assessments on patients diagnosing and prescribing medication.
Review of chronic patients.
Maintaining registers for chronic patients.
Counselling of staff and patients.
Attending stakeholders meetings for mental health advocacy Tracking of defaulters
Conducting individual group and family psychotherapy Spearheading rehabilitation activities for patients in the Urban Community.
Planning activities for mental health awareness and advocacy Home visits.
Integration of mental health into other programs
Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
5 "0" Levels including English Language, Mathematics & a Science subject.
A General Nurses' Diploma
Be currently registered with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe Diploma in mental health
