The AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) invites suitable and qualified candidates apply for the Position of Regional Security Manager for its Southern Africa Region. The successful candidate will be based in any of the Southern Region Countries which include the following; South Africa, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia and or Zimbabwe.

Job Summary
The Regional Security Manager (RSM) - Southern Africa supports AHF's mission by ensuring consistent implementation of the Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM) framework, strengthening crisis management, and building staff security capacity across AHF operations in South Africa, Eswatini, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Malawi, and Mozambique.
The position ensures readiness, proactive threat mitigation, and effective emergency response aligned with AHF's Duty of Care, Incident Management System (IMS), and Global Security Standards.

The Regional Security Manager will ensure the integrity and continuity of AHF’s physical protection systems, including CCTV surveillance, guard force management, and access control measures across all clinics and administrative facilities.

The Regional Security Manager will also provide technical and operational security support to any additional countries where AHF expands its programs within the region and will support other Regional Security Managers during periods of absence or when additional surge capacity is required.

The Regional Security Manager will maintain close liaison with the Deputy Bureau Chief to ensure regional security priorities align with operational and programmatic goals. This includes providing regular updates on emerging risks, supporting incident decision-making, contributing to travel and clinic activity planning, and ensuring security considerations are fully integrated into regional operations and management decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in the management of crisis response and emergency preparedness programs.
• Conduct security training sessions, mentor staff, and support capacity-building initiatives.
• Manage the Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM) system.
• Ensure thorough investigations are conducted for every reported incident and oversee incident response activities.
• Contribute to threat management and intelligence gathering to protect lives, assets, and information.
• Address insider threats and promote workplace safety.
• Supervise personnel protection and clinic security across both AHF standalone and supported sites.
• Oversee physical security systems and guard force management operations.
• Ensure management receives timely and scheduled security reports
• Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of security-related activities.
• Foster cross-regional collaboration on security matters.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant areas such as Security Management, Crisis and Disaster Management, , Criminology, International Relations, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 7 years' experience in regional or multi-country security management, preferably within NGOs
or humanitarian operations.
• Demonstrated leadership in crisis response, investigations, and training.
• Professional certification preferred: CPP, PSP, or CFE.
• Fluency in English; Portuguese proficiency an advantage.
• Active membership in recognized professional associations (ASIS, OSAC, ISMA, ACFE, etc.) desirable.
