Job Description

The Health Group wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the Regional Account Manager (Medical Aid) role that has arisen in our Mutare Offices

Duties and Responsibilities

Oversees medical aid accounts management, member education, information management and query resolution for medical aid members in the region to ensure member satisfaction and ultimately maintaining of retention levels as per set targets.
Monitors payment of monthly contributions to the Society by key accounts and engages members or follows up on overdue accounts before suspension or termination by Customer Services.
Checks and monitors through monthly reports the membership movement (terminations and additions) of the relevant corporate key accounts.
Formulates, designs, and implements plans to build strong and good relationships with corporate key accounts in the region.
Updates key accounts on new developments and ensures delivery and understanding of the same.
Coaches and/or arranges for the training of direct reports in the understanding of departmental procedures.
Agrees short term and medium-term objectives with Regional Account Officers from the relevant region, develops work plans, and checks that these are being carried out.
Carries out ongoing evaluation of staff, identifies performance strengths and deficiencies, and arranges for necessary action.
Identifies disciplinary problems or issues of direct reports, and through the Head of Department arranges for the necessary disciplinary action in line with Human Resources policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

Holder of a Degree in Sales, Marketing Management or equivalent with 4-6 years of Key Account Management experience.
A post-graduate qualification in Sales, Marketing or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Established networks and an ability to influence and communicate at all levels.
Strong negotiation skills.
Should be able to manage and develop staff.
Should be able to analyse and solve work-related problems to achieve the correct outcome
