Job Description

The Society wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the Radiographer role that has arisen in the Healthcare Services Division.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Description
Ensures that the Cimas Radiology Unit is registered with the Health Professions Authority and the City Council.
Identifies all Radiology operation requirements to ensure seamless operations, including but not restricted to, CAPEX and OPEX, human resources, equipment, projected numbers of patients and Cimas members.
Develops the Annual Operating Plan for the Radiology Unit and submits the plan to the Head Clinical Services.
Develops the Annual Budget and submits to the Head Clinical Services for presentation to the General Manager - Healthcare Services.
Conducts a range of diagnostic imaging examinations and therapeutic procedures.
Creates images to confirm or exclude clinical diagnosis on patients.
Applies science of medical imaging to facilitate for image processing and data recording ensuring diagnostic efficacy.
Interprets a range of medical imaging examinations to facilitate for appropriate treatment and management of medical conditions.
Annotates images correctly to ensure accuracy and quality of images.
Recommends patients for specialist services as required.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and adherence to the prescribed standard operating procedures.
Monitors goods receipt, packing and storage of stocks in line with Cimas policies, procedures and manufacturer’s specifications.
Maintains optimum stock levels based on customer trend analysis and demand.
Investigates and reports on stock variances.
Participates in stock takes in conjunction with Finance as per Cimas calendar.
Uses and maintains various equipment ensuring that precautionary instructions are adhered to.
Monitors maintenance of machine logbook ensuring that utilization and requests are correlating with the documented equipment.
Responsible for all radiation safety and checking equipment for any malfunctions.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidate Requirements
Holder of a Degree in Radiology.
Registered with the Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe.
Must have an Open Practicing Certificate (OPC).
Proven private practice experience.
Proven computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet).
