Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following posts at Great Zimbabwe University:

Duties and Responsibilities

SIMON MUZENDA SCHOOL OF ARTS, CULTURE AND HERITAGE STUDIES

2.1 RADIO STATION ENGINEER (1 POST)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Planning, implementing , upgrading and providing technological solutions at the Broadcasting Centre;

· Supervising productions and providing timeous interventions to equipment functions or malfunctions;

· Developing and implementing maintenance schedules;

· Undertaking research into broadcasting technologies and recommending the same for adoption by the station;

· Developing technical operations training programs for students, trainees and interns; and

· Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Applicants must have Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Electronic Engineering plus four (4) years post qualification experience. A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage. In addition the applicant should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
