Job Description

Radio Station (Zvishavane Campus)

Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate must be capable of collection, compilation, organization, preservation, and retrieval of audio-visual and print texts and records in analogue and digital formats. Duties and responsibilities include the following:

Storage and maintenance and retrieval of audio-visual and print content for the radio station.
Identifying, dating, cataloging and indexing all materials.
Assisting broadcast production team, researchers, and users to access the archives.
Converting original or old texts into the digital format.
Supervising Producers/Presenters to meet content requirements.
Submitting broadcast content to relevant public repositories as required by national law.
Any other relevant duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS

A good Honours Degree in Records and Archive Management with at least a 2.1 class.
A Masters Degree in Records and Archive Management will be an added advantage.
At least one-year working experience in analogue and digital archiving.
