Job Description
To manage and control project costs, contracts, valuations, and financial reporting for the dam construction project, ensuring cost efficiency and contractual compliance
Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare bills of quantities, cost estimates, and budgets for dam construction works.
• Manage interim valuations, payment certificates, and final accounts.
• Monitor project expenditure against budget and advise on cost-saving measures.
• Administer construction contracts and manage variations and claims.
• Liaise with engineers, contractors, and project managers on cost and contractual matters.
• Prepare regular cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• Registration with the Quantity Surveyors Council of Zimbabwe (QSCZ).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience, with proven dam or large civil works exposure.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC or NEC contracts.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and QS software.
Driver's license is a must
