Established in 1987, Population Services Zimbabwe (PSZ) an affiliate of Marie Stopes International Reproductive Choices (MSI), is one of the largest organisations in Zimbabwe focusing on providing quality sexual and
reproductive health (SRH)/ family planning services. In its service provision, PSZ compliments the Ministry of Health
and Child Care and collaborates with other stakeholders to provide modern and affordable products and services
through various service delivery channels which include the Public Sector, Commercial Sales, Outreach services

The Role
The Projects & New Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in shaping the programme in planning,
implementation, coordination, management and reporting of donor projects. Accountable for budget traking,
progamme cycle and grant management and budget tracking. Serve as primary donor contact person for the
organisation. Developing new business through engagements with potential donors, partners and foreign agency,
drafting concepts and proposals.
Duties
• Programme Management: Coordinate effective and efficient overall implementation of the programme in line
with donor agreements, providing guidance to channels (outreach; PSS; Centres and Youth) and project
performance update.
• Budget/Grant Management: Safeguarding grant management in line with donor expectations, coding
expences and monitor expenditure in line with donor budget.
• Donor & Stakeholder relations management: Serve as a primary donor contact person for the organisation
and coordinate programme and organisational compliance to donor regulations and special agreements.
Coordinate contractual agreements at national & sub-national level with relevant ministries and government
departments.
• Programme Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting: Work with the M&E Department and monitor programme
performance to ensure donor deliverables are achieved. Facilitate projects researches and M&E to ensure service delivery performance is on track and facilitate timely submission of accurate reports to donor and internally.
• New Business Development: Develop fundraising strategies, plans, campaigns, and capital development
initiatives and identify new opportunities. Lead in preparation of concept notes, grant proposals, donor reports,
packages and materials in creating new business opportunities for the organisation.
• Anti-Fraud and Bribery: Uphold the organisations’ AFB policy and create donor confidence and collaborate
with internal audit and ensure donor audit recommendations and compliance requirements are stricklty
enforced.
• Compliance and Statutory Requirements: Ensure that all donor agrements and regulations are met.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage project officers and coordinated business development team, build their
capacity and strengthen competency and professional development.
About You
You must be a self-starter who is able to work with minimum supervision and must have:
• Education: A first degree in Business Management or Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing or
related field from a reputable institute. A Master of Business Administration or related field is a distinct
advantage.
• Experience: At least five years’ experience in a leadership role in the Not-For-Profit sector combined with
experience in the for-profit sector. Experience in business development, projects and grant management.
• System Proficiency: Knowledge of financial management systems, an appreciation of budget tracking and
management. Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft 365 resources, with experience using online shared
resources like SharePoint and remote servers.
• Donor Relations: Knowledge of donor requirements for budgeting, grant management, concept/proposal
writing and programme reporting is essential.
Contract: Fixed Term Contract
• Remote Collaboration: Experience of working with colleagues in geographically separate locations.
• Communication Skills: Excellent report writing skills. Have strong interpersonal skills and should be able to
communicate at all levels.
