Job Description

Contract

To facilitate community and stakeholder participation in implementing project activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key duties and Responsibilities

· Meets and discusses district level project activities with the PM and MEAL Specialist.

· Prepares an Individual Operating Plan (IOP) in line with project Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

· Develops a weekly plan in line with scheduled project activities at community level.

·Prepares resource requests to carry out field activities and submits to the PM.

·Prepares weekly Community Engagement Plan (CEP) for key community stakeholders.

·Conducts community mobilisation and sensitisation.

.Facilitates community radio programs and public health promotion through mass communication campaigns.

·Participates in data collection, e.g. administers questionnaires, collects statistics relevant to the project.

·Conducts beneficiary registration verification, follow-ups, market monitoring and process monitoring.

·Facilitates CVA or cash transfers as per project design.

·Conducts community capacity building, such as training of committees and government extension workers on WASH, RCCE and COVID prevention.

·Prepares and submits progress reports such as activity, monthly, training, PARS, fuel reconciliations, incidents to the Project Manager.

·Coordinates community participation and stakeholder relations at community and district level.

.Organises and facilitates community level meetings and receives feedback from the community on the project activities.

·Facilitates collaboration with stakeholders such as Government extension workers, traditional leaders, COVID task force, MHCC, VHWs, Community Care givers and local leadership.

·Tracks and reports all incidents of COVID 19 recorded in operational area.

·Supports Monitoring and Evaluation surveys and supervision of Enumerators.

· Conducts household follow ups to ensure compliance with RCCE and trainings.

· Prepares and submits reports to the Project Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications
Qualifications, Skills and Experience

A Public Health/Development Studies/ Monitoring and Evaluation/ Communication/ Social Sciences or equivalent
2 years working experience in Water and Sanitation programmes and in emergency programming or equivalent
NGO experience will be an added advantage.
