Projects and Grants Officer
Location: Harare
Reports to: Managing Consultant
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Projects and Grants Officer to manage project implementation and grant activities. The role includes identifying funding opportunities, preparing grant applications, ensuring donor compliance, and overseeing project delivery. The ideal candidate will monitor progress, manage budgets, prepare reports, and work with stakeholders to ensure project success.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
Grant Writing: Research and apply for funding opportunities, develop proposals, and manage grant submissions.
Project Management: Plan and track project timelines, conduct field visits, and resolve project challenges.
Budgeting & Financial Management: Prepare and monitor project budgets, ensuring efficient use of funds.
Monitoring & Reporting: Compile regular reports for donors and stakeholders on project progress.
Compliance: Ensure all activities meet donor and governance requirements.
Capacity Building: Train staff on grant writing and project management.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with donors, partners, and government agencies.
Credit Management: Seek new business opportunities, evaluate loan applications, and assess creditworthiness.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications: 5’ O Levels including Mathematics and English with at least grade B, 3’ A Levels
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Project Management, Development Studies, or related field (Master’s degree or M&E is a plus).
3-5 years of experience in project management and grant writing, preferably in non-profit or development sectors.
Strong skills in proposal writing, budgeting, and project reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Work Environment: Office-based with some travel for field visits and meetings.
