The Project Officer will plan, implement, and monitor project activities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, donor requirements, and community needs. This role requires strong technical knowledge in environmental management, natural resources, or related disciplines, combined with excellent project coordination, monitoring, and reporting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate, plan, and implement project activities in line with project goals and timelines.
• Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of project performance.
• Facilitate community engagement and stakeholder coordination for sustainable project outcomes.
• Provide technical support and guidance in areas of environmental management, natural resources, and ecology.
• Prepare progress reports, proposals, and other documentation as required.
• Identify challenges and provide recommendations for adaptive project management. Facilitate community engagement and stakeholder coordination for sustainable project outcomes.

Required Competencies:
• Strong understanding of environmental, ecological, and natural resource management principles.
• Experience in project planning, implementation, and reporting.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
• Degree or Honours in Geography & Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources Management, Ecology, or other related fields.
• At least 3 years work experience in the NGO sector with communities preferably in climate related projects.
• Good communication, facilitation and community engagement skills.
• Good report writing skills
• Ability to work independently in rural areas.
• High ethical standards, commitment to safeguarding, gender equality and accountability.
• Competence in motor cycle riding is a must
