Job Description
The job of the Project Manager will be to oversee the planning of the project and ensure that it is completed on schedule, within budget, and according to regulatory requirements and to establish procedures to uphold company standards and specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Plan, schedule, lead and manage all aspects of the project.
• Independently coordinate work of employees and balance team throughout entire project's development
• Establish and develop a relationship with Client, and be involved with proposal development, adherence, engineering design and production meetings
• Participate in reviews with project owners regarding regulatory compliance issues
• Conduct work sessions for design development.
• Coordinate workload through entire project development, and verify completion of quality work products on schedule and within budget
• Track financial aspects of project, and coordinate and adjust work effort with the team to verify work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule and financial goals
• Work with Senior Management for internal project reviews from time to time.
• Project scoping and strategy
• Project resourcing
• Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management
• Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
• Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project
Qualifications and Experience
• A degree in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• 10 years of professional experience.
• 5 years of project management experience especially in the mining field will be an added advantage
• Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Basic understanding AutoCAD.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must.
• The position requires a mature problem solver, who is disciplined and has good communication skills
