Project Manager – Renewables - Germany
Our Client is an international green energy producer with an initial focus on PV solar. It owns and operates a diverse portfolio of PV solar parks internationally with a European Operational Centre in West Dublin. The company are currently in growth phase and looking to expand their team.
Requirement:
An experienced, reliable and task-oriented Project Manager. The Project Manager will work directly with the operations team. This role requires an energetic ‘’can do’’ attitude. The role will be varied. The company has an open flexible culture and are in growth mode and are looking for people who are happy to grow with the company going forward. You can be based in Germany or in Ireland/UK with regular travel to Germany.
Duties:
Maximize efficiency in the implementation of detailed project plans, keeping track of goals, tasks, resources, schedules, costs, and contingencies
Create project budgets based upon quotes and bids and track project costs
Perform regular check-ins with all stakeholders to gauge project process
Build strong working relationships internally and externally
Manage contracts, change orders, and other agreements with EPC subcontractors
Effectively manage sub-contractors to ensure timely delivery of works and value for money
Identify the sources of likely problems and proactively take preventative measures to avoid any potential project risks, and determine response actions to mitigate any negative impact
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Requirements:
University Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Sciences preferable
Fluency in English with second European language German is desirable or Italian
An experienced project management professional with minimum 6 years-experience in the engineering/construction industry.
Experience in the renewables industry is preferable.
Understanding of project management processes and a demonstrable track record of successfully managing the development of multiple projects, with a focus on pre & post consent stage up to financial close.
An appreciation for contract law is also desirable.
Strong leadership and communication skills, self-motivated with demonstrated problem solving capability
High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite with particular focus on Excel
Knowledge and experience of MS project and other PM Packages
Knowledge and experience of software packages for solar design such as PVSyst or similar desirable.
