Project Assistant: SolidarMed

About
SolidarMed is a Private Voluntary Organization operating in Masvingo Province. The organization supports the Ministry of Health and Child Care in the health service delivery according to Zimbabwe’s National Health Strategy, promoting equitable access to quality health services, with a focus on HIV / TB, Maternal Neonatal Health (MNH) and Non-Communicable Disease, all supported through digital health. SolidarMed is looking for self-motivated, culturally sensitive and experienced professionals (2) to join their passionate team as from 1 January 2021.

Job summary
Assist in the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and supervision of SolidarMed’s rural NCD project in collaboration with the Project Manager NCD.

Duties and Responsibilities


Area of work
After an introduction period of an estimated 6 months, one Project Assistant will be located in each of the two districts. Therefore, the selected candidate must be willing to reside in the respective district where she / he will work (Bikita or Zaka district).

Qualifications and Experience


Minimal requirements
Clinical Officers Nurses with clinical experience in NCD; Programmatic experience in NCDs; Solid competence in the use of computers and various means of communication; Good communication skills in written and spoken English; Competent driver with clean class 4 driver’s license; The following skills will be an added advantage: Diploma in Community Nursing; Degree in Public Health; Fluency in indigenous language (Shona and / or Shangaan).
