Job Description
Reporting to the Information Systems Manager, the job exists to assist in the increase of the product and service portfolio as well as those of value chain activities through the design and building of mobile applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Performance Areas
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design new features.
• Ensures continuous updating, evaluation and implementation of new technologies
• Responsible for unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability.
• Responsible for bug fixing and improving application performance
• Ensures user training, support and feedback
• Develop software operating manuals
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Information Systems Manager
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Experience
• A Degree in Information Systems/Information Technology/Computer Science/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent technical degree
• Certified application developer will be a distinct advantage
• Membership of a recognized professional institution
• At least 4 years relevant experience
• Proven experience in designing and building applications
• Ability to program in at least one programming language such as C#, Java (J2EE) etc.
• In-Depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools
• Working experience with Android SDK and iOS SDK
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
