Job Description
Solusi University invites applicants for a Programmer position in the ICT department. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, able to communicate effectively, be a team player, and possess strong analytical & problem solving skills. The candidate must also have a thorough understanding of available technology and an appetite to learn about innovative solutions & new releases.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate shall among other functions be responsible for;
• Developing, recording and maintaining cutting edge web-based PHP applications on portal plus premium service platforms;
• Building innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborating with the User Experience (UX) team;
• Ensuring HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications;
• Leading the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support
Qualifications and Experience
INVITATION is to applicants who meet the following selection criteria:
1. Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science; Information Systems or a similar relevant field;
2. Possession of a relevant higher qualification shall be an added advantage;
3. Demonstrated commitment to the SDA Philosophy;
4. Familiarity with limitations of PHP, Python as a platform and its workarounds;
5. Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery Expert;
6. Experience with PHP MVC frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, Yii, CodeIgniter, Zend, etc.)
7. Excellent relational database skills with RDBMS
