About the organization:
Zim-TTECH is seeking highly qualified and experienced applicants to fill the position of Program Nurse - DREAMS on fixed-term contract in Matabeleland North province in Lupane & Tsholotsho districts. Zim-TTECH's activities occur primarily in the technical areas of health system strengthening; epidemiology and strategic information strengthening, health workforce development; operations research and evaluation; prevention, care, and treatment of infectious diseases. Zim-TTECH is funded by PEPFAR through the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Strengthening Epidemiology and Strategic Information in 44 districts in Zimbabwe. Zim-TTECH also implements HIV & TB treatment and care services in support of the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) under the Zim-PAAC (Zimbabwe Partnership to Accelerate AIDS Control) program. Additionally, the ZimPAAC DREAMS consortium comprising of three local partners implements DREAMS activities in four districts in Matabeleland North Province (Bubi, Nkayi, Tsholotsho and Lupane). The contract is up to the 29th of September 2023.

Position Summary
The position reports to the respective DREAMS District Project Lead. Successful candidates will be responsible for the provision of clinical services to Adolescent Girls and Young Women to reduce new HIV/AIDS infections.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities
Providing clinical services at health services including but not limited to PrEP screening and initiation, STI screening and treatment, family planning services, GBV screening and management, Screening and enrolling AGYW who visit the health facility or attend safe spaces /outreaches into the DREAMS program; Referring AGYW for appropriate subsequent interventions to other DREAMS IPs within the district of implementation; Liaising with the DREAMS Project Lead to develop clinic outreaches to safe spaces; Keeping detailed M&E data for clinical services provided, using standard MoHCC and additional DREAMS-specific data capturing tools; Assisting in any trainings or other activities supported by Zim-TTECH and/or MoHCC; Advocating for a conducive environment for good patient care and provider development; Preparing and submitting monthly progress reports to the District Project Lead and Program Coordinator sharing program challenges, best practices and recommendations to improve the DREAMS program; Participating in DREAMS meetings and planning sessions, including planning outreach services and discussion of partnerships with other community groups, DREAMS expansion and progress of facility-based services.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid registration with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe; A valid Rapid HIV testing certificate is mandatory; Minimum of 3 years’ experience with primary healthcare, especially antenatal care service provision and/or contraceptive services and in working with MoHCC or health-related implementing partners coupled with a strong understanding of the Zimbabwe health care system structures; Should be able to work as part of a team and closely with expert clients and other volunteers; Experience in supporting community activities is an added advantage; Knowledge of STI management, PrEP and GBV training.
