Accountability Lab is a network of translocal organisations that catalyses a new generation of active citizens and responsible leaders. We train, mentor and resource citizens to strengthen systems of accountability to unleash positive social and economic change. The Lab also strives to reinvent the way that development organisations operate through radical transparency, context appropriate reporting and creative awareness campaigns.
Description of the project and assignment
Civic Action Teams (CivActs), is a pioneering citizen feedback, dialogue and community voice platform to promote accountability in Zimbabwe. The CivActs collect critical information to solve daily problems for citizens and close the feedback loop on a variety of community challenges. CivActs is currently being implemented in Harare, Chitungwiza, Goromonzi and Bulawayo.
Accountability Lab Zimbabwe is excited to announce a call for applications for the production of short documentaries about social and accountability issues using evidence and information from the CivActs initiatives. The documentaries should be not more than 10 minutes in length and suitable for screening on a variety of platforms including social media, and for broadcast. The budget for the short documentary production is USD $750 for each documentary.

Aged 18 - 30; Interested in telling stories about social and economic issues, and accountability; A creative story teller / content creator.
