We are looking for a skilled Production Clerk to provide administrative support to our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating production activities, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring efficient communication between departments.
- Coordinate production activities, including scheduling, material ordering, and workflow management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production activities, including job cards, inventory levels, and quality control documents
- Ensure efficient communication between production, quality control, and other departments
- Provide administrative support to the production team, including data entry, filing, and document control
- Monitor and report on production costs, including labor, materials, and overheads
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting for production activities
- Identify areas for cost savings and process improvement
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve production-related issues
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Diploma or degree in Accountancy or related field (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ZICA)
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounting or administrative role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including cost accounting and financial management
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
