Job Description
EcoCash Holdings is looking for a vibrant Product Development Officer to join its Econet Insurance team. The main purpose of the position is to plan product design, product development, product evaluation, and to influence the product roadmap in line with competitor analysis and customer behaviour analysis reports.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Conduct market and competitor analysis and recommends to business new products to develop.
Analyses customer requirements and provide optimal product development solutions.
Liaises with marketing for product launches, reviews, and other business development initiatives.
Develops functional specifications including use cases, process/workflow, error messages and interface specifications.
Interacts with system vendor and third-party system developers to integrate with Econet Insurance system, in conjunction with Technical
Ensures quality and completeness of the finished product by applying best practices to user acceptance testing and using product expertise to influence test cases.
Identifies risk and risk mitigation strategies, resolution, and communications to teams and stakeholders.
Manages functional production issues for new features, from identification and prioritization through to resolution.
Drive end to end product development cycle from product conceptualization and development to implementation and monitoring
Product management and ongoing support to Broker and agents, Bancassurance partners and digital platforms.
Qualifications and Experience
Required skills
• A relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.
• Creative and customer centric.
• Degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent
• Experience in non-life Insurance product lines will be an advantage
• Two (2) or more years of related working experience in the insurance industry, preferably in areas of product development or actuarial
