Job Description
Zimbabwe National Boxing and Wrestling Control Board (ZNBWCB) is an organisation born out of statute with a mandate to oversee and promote the development and promotion of boxing, wrestling, mixed martial arts (MMA) and related activities in Zimbabwe. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fit the vacancy of the Procurement Officer (Harare). The incumbent reports to CEO.
The incumbent shall be responsible for the overall management of company’s sourcing capabilities / supply chain through effective and profitability manage the strategic sourcing, purchasing, and expediting the procurement process for the business
Duties and Responsibilities
❖ Develops and implements programme monitoring and evaluation processes;
❖ Procuring of goods and services cost effectively in line with Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act [Chapter 22:23] and Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Regulations.
❖ Developing procurement strategies
❖ Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
❖ Negotiating with suppliers and vendors
❖ Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors
❖ Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
❖ Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
❖ Risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
❖ Controlling the procurement budget
❖ Evaluating bids
❖ Resolving supplier queries or problems
❖ Preparing procurement management reports.
Qualifications and Experience
A degree in Degree or Diploma in Business Management; Economics; Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or any related field.Minimum two (2) years relevant experience (Procurement Officer or Procurement Manager) with exposure to management of profit-center operations. Government procurement experience an added advantage
