Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the above mentioned post. The incumbent will be reporting to the Managing Director. The position exists to responsible for coordinating the activities of the Procurement Management Unit for the entity.
1. Planning the entity’s procurement activities and ensure that the appropriate plan is in place
2. Identification and advice on adoption of appropriate procurement methods.
3. Coordination of the entity’s departments in the procurement of goods and services
4. Research and advise on best procurement options to ensure best value for money for the entity
5. Supervising the procuring entity’s evaluation committee.
6. Provide secretariat service on production of evaluation reports and contract award recommendations.
7. Preparation of contract documents and amendments.
8. Managing procurement contracts and overseeing their management
• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• Professional qualification such as Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Graduate Diploma or equivalent.
• Membership of a relevant professional body, a must
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in procurement
