The intern will assist with the day-to-day operations of the procurement department, including managing supplier relationships, tracking purchase orders and supporting contract negotiations. They will work closely with senior procurement staff to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensure compliance with company procurement policies, and help optimize the procurement process to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements.
The intern will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of supplier interactions, purchase agreements, and inventory levels,
Assist with day-to-day procurement functions in the development of Requestions
Coordinate and communicate with project teams and external stakeholders during the initial review, negotiation and finalization of competitive solicitations.
Gather and report key contract information including maintaining data controls and help in performing analytical review of suppliers.
Assist with updating and organizing contract tracking files for various types of contracts and suppliers
Conduct market research and obtain quotes for purchase of goods and services.
Assist with contract and procurement audit process
Assist with administration and special initiatives, as assigned.
Studying towards a procurement or related qualification
Knowledge of general business principles or procurement.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize work, and handle multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently and accurately.
Experience with the software included e.g Microsoft Office Suite
