Job Description
Reporting to Post Bus Controller the incumbent will be responsible for the following, among other duties: -
• Transporting passengers and mail to various post offices and destinations
• Timeous conveyance of mail to designated offices per route as outlined on the time table.
• The Driver will ensure all mail bags are properly accounted and signed for.
• Takes all precautions/ measures to protect mail in his/her custody and follows safety regulations of the road.
• Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Incumbent will be on time to sign for and deliver to offices and customers.
• Ensure vehicle assigned to him/her is kept in good condition and is presentable at all time.
• Adhere and obey all traffic rules by ensuring that the bus has valid documentation.
• Manage events that occur whilst in transit .eg. anti-social behavior on the bus by some of the passengers.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
• Religiously adhere to COVID-19 rules and regulations.
• Practice excellent customer care.

Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Experience
• 5 “O” Levels including English language
• Valid clean class 1 driver’s license
• Must be 30 years old and above
• 5 years’ experience in the same field.
• Valid Defensive Driving Certificate,
• Re-Test and valid Medical Certificate.
• Excellent driving skills and being able to work under pressure.
• Have knowledge about safety and health issues
• Must have Geographical knowledge of Zimbabwe.
