Job Description
Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation is a major player in the Zimbabwean Mining Industry and a key contributor to the growth of the Zimbabwean economy through mining and mining development. The Corporation has the following exciting, fixed term opportunities that have arisen at our Golden Kopje Mine (Chinhoyi).
Plant Foreperson x 1
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
• Planning and scheduling production
• Optimising the plant and operating at optimal levels
• Supervising of plant staff
• Meeting daily, weekly and monthly production throughput and
output targets
• Maximising gold recoveries
• Formulating and monitoring compliance of Standard Operating
Procedures
• Ensuring safety for plant and people
• Ensuring environmental compliance in tailings, effluent water and
waste disposal
• Timeous ordering of all plant consumables and inputs
• Training and Development
• Reporting daily, weekly and monthly on production parameters
including inputs, throughput, output and projections
• Budgeting for the department
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
• Diploma in Mineral Processing, or Extractive Metallurgy or
Equivalent
• 5 O level passes
• 10 years working experience as a plant foreperson
• Hydrosluicing experience is an added advantage
