Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions that have arisen in the Health Services Directorate in the University of Zimbabwe:
Duties and Responsibilities
Ÿ Processing of prescriptions.
Ÿ Dispensing of medicines following guidelines
and standard operating procedures.
Ÿ Stock ordering.
Ÿ Stock management and control.
Ÿ Collecting relevant data and communication
with the healthcare team on issues like adverse
drugs effects.
Ÿ Pharmaceutical care of healthcare consumes as
a part of the healthcare team.
Ÿ Maintain high levels of professionalism.
Ÿ Undertake the pharmacy services in line with the
philosophy of University.
Ÿ Promote rational use of medicines.
Ÿ Participate in standard operating procedures
development and optimization.
Ÿ Supervise subordinates staff and work with supervisors and leadership.
Ÿ Exercise appropriate judgement and evidence based good decision and assume additional
Duties and Responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications and Attributes
Ÿ Pharmacy Technician Diploma.
Ÿ Registration by Pharmacist Council of
Zimbabwe.
Ÿ Other relevant qualification will be regarded as
added advantage.
Ÿ At least 3 years’ postgraduate experience in a pharmacy.
