Pharmacist

Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines accurately and safely
• Counsel patients on correct medication use, dosage, and potential interactions
• Ensure compliance with Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ) regulations and Pharmacists Council of Zimbabwe (PCZ) standards
• Maintain proper storage, stock control, and record-keeping of scheduled and controlled drugs
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and dispensary staff
• Participate in continuing professional development (CPD) as required by PCZ
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree from a recognized institution
• Current registration with the Pharmacists Council of Zimbabwe (PCZ) and a valid Practising Certificate
• Good standing with PCZ (no disciplinary issues)
• At least 2 years' post-registration experience in a retail/community pharmacy setting (preferred)
• Sound knowledge of MCAZ regulations governing Schedule medicines
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and customer service skills
• Willingness to relocate and be based in Chiredzi
