Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Peace Studies/Political Science/International Relations/Sociology/Social Anthropology/Politics and Administration/Population Studies/ Demography/ Environmental Science/Reproductive Health and Statistics and Geography, a masters degree in Peace Studies/Political Science/ International Relations/ Sociology/Social Anthropology/Politics and Administration/Population Studies/ Demography/ Environmental Science / Reproductive Health and Statistics and Geography and a relevant first degree with at least a 2.1-degree classification and must be able to teach at least four of the following modules:

At masters level: Demographic Techniques II, Mortality, Migration, Population and Environment, Migration, Population and Environment, Quantitative Techniques and Statistics, Comparative Demography, Medical Anthropology and Demography, Reproductive Health, Research Methods, Demographic Techniques I.

At undergraduate level: Introduction to Peace and Security, Human Security and Development, Peace, Leadership and Governance, Economy, Society and Governance and Human Rights Law and Transitional Justice. Applicants who can show some progress towards acquiring a relevant Doctoral Degree may be considered. Teaching experience at Tertiary or University level is mandatory. Possession of a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be an added advantage.
