Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold at least a doctoral degree in Agriculture (Animal Science, Wildlife Management, Fisheries Management), a masters degree in Agriculture (Animal Science, Wildlife Management, Fisheries or equivalent) and a relevant first degree with at least a 2.1-degree classification. Successful candidates must be able to teach at least three of the following modules at undergraduate level using online and/or face-to-face methods: Anatomy and Physiology of Farm Animals; Introduction to Soil Science; Introduction to Genetics; Introduction to Entomology and Parasitology; Introduction to Computers and Academic Communication Technologies; Agricultural Practice I; Agricultural Practice 2; Introduction to Biochemistry; Introduction to Microbiology; Introduction to Statistics; Molecular Biology; Gender, Culture and Heritage Studies; Pasture and Range Management; Wildlife Ecology; Heritage based natural resource management; Agricultural Statistics; Limnology; Fish nutrition; Intensive wildlife production systems; Animal breeding; Sheep and goats production systems; Livestock disease management; Agroforestry; Meteorology and climate change; Geographic information systems and remote sensing; Project planning, appraisal and evaluation; Environmental science and pollution; Research project; Wildlife disease management; Safari and parks management; Zoology and captive breeding; Game capture and translocation. Teaching experience at Tertiary or University level is mandatory.

Possession of a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education will be an added advantage.
