Job Description
An experienced Panel Beater, with strong panel shop skills (repairs & maintenance duties), administration and client relation skills is required to join a dynamic team in vehicle parts sales, repairs & services.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assessing damage and evaluating extent of damage to the vehicle’s bodywork.
• Repairing and replacing parts using panel shop tools to repair minor damages and replacing severely damaged sections with new parts.
• Ensuring the vehicle is correctly aligned, structurally sound and restoring it to its original condition.
• Conducting vehicle inspections after repairs to ensure it meets Safety and Quality standards.
• Providing estimates on repair costs and timelines and communicating effectively with clients, insurance companies, and colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience
• At least 3 years' experience as a Panel Beater.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Automotive Trade Certificate – Journeyman Class 1
• Strong Administration Skills.
• Costing experience.
• An understanding of GM vehicles (Isuzu, Chevrolet & Opel) will transfer well.
• Have good work ethic combined with high integrity and honesty.
• Able to work under pressure & a good team player.
