Job Description
A great new role is now available for a Packaging Controller to join a local manufacturing firm.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Analyzing and determining all standards for packaging lines and ensuring compliance to all schedules for processes.
• Developing and maintaining all packing orders effectively.
• Monitoring and recommending improvements in the process to increase the efficiency of packaging.
• Coordinating with the production department to ensure adherence to packaging and dispatch schedules.
• Maintaining and ensuring compliance to packaging schedule and assigning specific tasks to subordinates and monitoring all packing equipment and supplies.
• Coordinating with the production department on quality and monitoring everyday activities of units produced.
• Coordinating with Plant Engineer and recommending ways to reduce waste and improve quality of all processes.
• Drafting and implementing proper packaging policy documents.
• Preparing input for performance evaluation including development and maintenance of accurate records.
• Analyzing and ensuring that the utilization of the workforce is being done in the most effective manner possible.
• Setting standards and monitoring key process measures to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
Qualifications and Experience
1. First Degree in Business Studies, Logistics or related field
2. 5 years relevant experience preferably in FMCG.
3. Previous Experience working as a packaging controller.
4. Ability to lead a team
5. A strong team player
6. Someone who always looks for ways of improving processes
