Job Description

Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified persons to fill in the following vacancy that has arisen within Croco Holdings group.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily open pit activities including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and dumping.
• Ensure compliance with short-term and long-term mine plans.
• Monitor bench development, pit progression, and ore exposure.
• Control ore dilution and losses during extraction and hauling.
• Ensure proper grade control practices in coordination with geology.
• Ensure safe blasting practices and controlled access to blast areas.
• Monitor dust suppression, slope stability, and environmental controls.
• Work closely with Mine Planning, Survey, and Geology teams.
• Assist in implementing pit designs, pushbacks, and schedules.
• Ensure availability of resources (equipment, explosives, fuel, manpower).

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of open pit operations and safety standards.
• Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Allocate manpower and equipment within the operations.
• Authority to enforce safety, operational, and environmental standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Valid Full Blasting License (essential).
• Minimum 5-10 years' experience in open pit mining environment.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory/overseer role.
• Strong understanding of open pit mining methods and slope stability.
