Operations Manager- Fuel Service Station

Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen for the position of Operations Manager to oversee the efficient management of a fuel service station. The role involves ensuring that efficient processes and procedures are formulated and maintained and customer delight is achieved by providing effective leadership to the team. This role requires a hands on person who pays attention to detail

Duties and Responsibilities

 Drive profitability of the service station by formulating strategies that improves the top
 Effectively manage the expenditure of the service station by formulating cost
containment strategies.
 Ensuring that all internal processes of procuring, storage and selling of all energy
products are efficient.
 Continuously improve the general outlook and maintaining proper standards for the
service station.
 Attending to stakeholder inquiries and complains and ensuring that they are resolved
in the shortest possible time.
 Ensuring compliance with all regulatory framework and organisational standards such
as SHE and Good hygiene Practices.
 Providing leadership and ensuring that all staff is highly engaged and motivated.
 Manage communication and relations with all stakeholders such as customers,
suppliers, government departments and the community at large

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal person must possess the following:
 Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Marketing or Retail Management
 At least 4 years’ experience in an operations environment
 Clean Class Four Drivers licence
 Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
 Ability to work with numbers and strong analytical skills
 Exposure to motor, energy and transport sector an added advantage
