Our Client in the retail industry is looking for qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Operations Manager.
1. Coordinate purchasing requirements with suppliers; negotiate availability, discounts, and credit terms where applicable.
2. Ensure proper cash-up procedures, banking, and controls (till floats, petty cash, EcoCash/merchant reconciliations).
3. Lead and coach branch teams: attendance control, discipline, training, and customer service behaviour.
4. Prepare weekly operations updates and monthly performance summaries for management review.
5. Work closely with Accounts to ensure complete documentation for stock movements, purchases, and sales.
6. Maintain basic compliance and risk controls (invoices, receipts, delivery notes, audit trails) and resolve issues quickly.
3+ years’ experience in grocery retail/wholesale operations (supervisory level or above).
Diploma/degree in Business/Operations/Accounting/Marketing is an advantage, but proven experience is key.
Strong stock control and branch management skills; confident with margins and pricing basics.
Good people leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable using POS reports, Excel, and basic accounting/stock systems (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Odoo or similar).
Integrity and ability to enforce controls without damaging team morale.
