Maps Transport is a dynamic Transport and Logistics company seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, fleet management, and operations leadership, with the ability to optimize processes and deliver exceptional service to clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Oversee day-to-day transport and logistics operations to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
2. Manage fleet scheduling, routing, and driver assignments to meet delivery deadlines.
3. Monitor vehicle maintenance, fuel usage, and compliance with safety regulations.
4. Supervise and support operational staff, ensuring high performance and accountability.
5. Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
6. Handle client queries and maintain strong customer relationships.
7. Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.
8. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and statutory regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree/Diploma in Transport & Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience in transport/logistics operations management (minimum 3–5 years).
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent knowledge of transport regulations and logistics processes.
Proficiency in MS Office and logistics/fleet management systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
