We seek a highly skilled and professional Operating Theatre Nurse to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality peri-operative nursing care, ensuring patient safety, supporting surgical teams, and upholding the highest standards of aseptic practice and clinical governance within the operating theatre environment. This opportunity is ideal for an individual with current Nurses Council registration and hands-on theatre experience, who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and values precision, teamwork, and quality outcomes.
• Communicating and informing patients and their families about the surgery, its risks and benefits.
• Assessing patients before surgery.
• Supporting the anesthetists.
• Preparing all the instruments that are necessary for the surgical procedure.
• Inspecting the operating theatre and making sure it is fit for purpose.
• Briefing with the team.
• Providing high standards of skilled care and support during each phase of a patient’s preoperative care.
• Sending the patient to recovery.
• Any other duties may be prescribed by the supervisor.
• Diploma in Operating Theatre Nursing.
• Current Practicing Certificate
• Prior OTN work experience an added advantage.
