Job Description

We are seeking an Office Cleaner to join our team based in Zimbabwe.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that the cleanliness of the Mukuru office, toilets and kitchen are kept to a high standard.

The Cleaner reports directly to the Office Manager. This position is responsible for the daily cleaning the office and ensuring the kitchen is clean and tidy and stocked with required consumables.

Internal Liaison takes place with all internal staff. External liaison is not required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities (Include but is not limited to):

To ensure the office, working areas and bathrooms are clean
Follow the rotational cleaning roster
Ensure bathrooms are cleaned 3 times per day
Check with the internal customers if additional cleaning is required/ whether they are satisfied
Follow good cleaning practices
Clean floors by sweeping, mopping or vacuuming them as per the roster
Gather and empties dustbins
Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors
Dust furniture, walls, machines and equipment
To ensure the kitchen is clean, tidy and stocked
Team member to always be present in the kitchen at all times
Dishwasher to be run 3 times per day
Tea, coffee and sugar to be replenished as soon as canisters run low
Notify Office Manager as soon as stock runs low
To comply with health and safety regulations
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaning material and power
equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
Monitor office safety by checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created
Completes all work by considering safety and health regulations at all times
To manage own professional and self -development
Attend weekly team meeting with Office Manager
Attend monthly performance meeting with Office Manager

Qualifications and Experience

Key Requirements:

Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
Cleaning experience (Desirable)
Knowledge of the health and safety requirements
Knowledge of the appropriate use of cleaning materials
Knowledge of company policies and procedures
Additional Skills:

Planning and organising skills
Verbal communication skills
