Hwange Medical Company, a subsidiary of Hwange Colliery Company Limited Holdings, is hiring a Nurse Anaesthetist, a position responsible for coordinating and administering anaesthesia and provide care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring their safety throughout the process. The position will report to the Principal Nursing Officer.

Key Result Areas
Perform pre-anaesthetic screenings, including physical evaluations and documents results before developing and implementing individualised anaesthesia care plans.
Obtaining informed consent from patients.
Preparation, checking and testing of all anaesthetic equipment and accessories before administration of anaesthesia.
Administering appropriate and safe anaesthesia and ensuring patient comfort.
Monitoring patients under anaesthesia and adjusting anaesthesia levels as required.
Ensure patient satety during emergence and recovery including managing post - operative pain and complications.
Responds to emergency situations by providing airway management and basic or advanced cardiac life support.
Instruct nurses, student nurses and other staff on topics such as anaesthetic techniques, pain management and emergency responses.
Maintains emergency equipment throughout the hospital and clinics.
Develop policies to guide use of anaesthesia.
Person Specifications And Other Requirements
Proven clinical experience as a Nurse Anaesthetist in a reputable hospital.
Strong knowledge and skills in administering anesthesia.
Excellent patient assessment, clinical judgement and critical thinking.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Emotional resilience and ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
Excellent Teamwork.
Educational And Professional Qualifications
A National Diploma in Nurse Anaesthesia.
A National Diploma in General Nursing.
A valid practicing certificate.
