Job Description
Municipality of Marondera invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill in vacancies which have arisen in the Municipality's Clinical Services Section. Interested applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications and requirements:
Duties and Responsibilities
Among other duties, the successful applicant is expected to:
• Provide hands-on care to patients in a primary health centre setup.
• Perform routine tasks under the supervision of registered nurses.
• Take, monitor and record patient's vital observations.
• Answer calls for help and determine if additional help is needed.
• Bathe and dress patients.
• Make beds and perform light housekeeping duties in patient's room.
• Set up equipment.
• Store and move supplies.
• Observe patients physical, mental, and emotional conditions.
• Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Empty bedpans and change dirty linen.
• Escort patients to higher levels of care.
Qualifications and Experience
5 Ordinary Level subjects including English language.
Valid Basic FirstAid certificate from a recognized training institution. Valid Nurse Aide certificate from a recognized training institution. Aged 40 years and below.
Must have at least 2 years' ex perience asa nurse aide.
Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task.
Compassionate with good communication skills.
Excellent teamwork skills.
Mature personality.
Able to work under minimal supervision.
